We would like to thank everybody who participated
in our “Photo Presentation Contest”!
The presentations this year were allof an outstanding
quality, and we really had trouble choosing winners.
We really enjoyed the presentations, and we hope you
enjoyed giving them.
Best Prize (Adult): Kenji Nasu
The presentation of your trip to Niigata prefecture was
perfectly planned and executed. Your presentation
included photos of two things which are close to my
heart; Foodand beautiful scenery. The view of the
rice field outside your wife’s grandmother’s house
is very impressive, and the meal looked divine!
Following that, you described Kashiwazaki Kariwa
nuclear power station, and the related museum which
you visited. Finally, your picture of the sun setting
over the Sea of Japan, which you took on your way
home, was absolutely beautiful. I’m now left wondering
when I will be able to make a trip to Niigata to experience
this myself.
Effort Prize (Adult): Koaki Shikato
Something I love about Japan in the Summer is the fireworks
displays. The displays that are held are, in one word, amazing!
When you first told me how much it had cost you to take your
fiancé to the Minato Mirai display… I must admit I thought
it was a little bit crazy. However, after you explained the
breakdown of costs in staging such a display, I could then see
why the cost per person was quite high. Some of those fireworks
are very expensive! Your research into the subject was excellent.
Well done.
